And speaking of stress, I must share with you an anxiety-ridden experience I had two weeks ago, that was ultimately resolved by the Angels in their ever-loving way.
Jill and I were excited about our mother/daughter trip—we try to have these getaways once a year. This time we were going to spend five days at a beautiful beachfront resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The flight from Phoenix to Puerto Vallarta was smooth and relaxing and we were smiling as we made our way to the luggage carousel to claim our bags. There was Jill’s blue suitcase waiting for her, but where was my cute little pink bag? After several minutes, and with all the other bags except a large, black one claimed, it was clear that my bag was nowhere to be found.
It took some time, but finally a gentleman who worked in the baggage claim department helped us figure out what happened. He wheeled over the lone black suitcase. Somehow, my name had been fastened to the claim ticket for that bag, and that bag was supposed to be in route to Delhi India! So, if that bag was now mistakenly in Puerto Vallarta, we could only assume that my cute little pink bag, delicate and not made for world travel, was now on a very long journey from Phoenix to Chicago, and finally to India! What?!

The gentleman truly felt bad about this huge mix-up. He apologized and started a paper trail with an official inquiry, but we all knew I wouldn’t be seeing my suitcase any time soon. Luckily, I had my carry-on with me which held my toiletries and several pairs of pants for daytime and evening, along with two pairs of socks, two pairs of underwear, and a tee-shirt. But all I could think of was everything I would have to do without. I’m sure when the owner of the black suitcase found it missing in Delhi, he was unhappily scratching his head, too.
Although feeling low about this crazy turn of events and uttering a few choice words as we shook our heads, Jill and I were determined to not let it spoil our vacation. The resort was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and we let the stress of the day melt away.

The next morning a taxi took us to a store called Liverpool, that had been recommended to replace some of my lost items. Doubtful that I would find anything I liked, I was soon having fun trying on cute tops in the dressing room.
After paying for them (and keeping the receipts to submit to American Airlines when I got home) we went to another department and found two pairs of sandals for me, as well as a bathing suit and cover-up, underwear, socks, and a suitcase. I felt relieved that I now had what I needed to enjoy the rest of our vacation.

But I secretly grieved for all the things I doubted I’d ever see again. One of those things was an evening bag, adorned with crystals, that my hubby had bought for me in Brazil while on a business trip over twenty years ago.
So, of course, I turned to the Archangels, our Divine Best Friends and asked for their help. First, I called upon Angel Chamuel, who can see everything and anything, and helps humans find whatever we’ve lost. I asked him to please locate my bag, keep my possessions safe, and send it all back home to me as quickly as heaven would allow.
Then I asked Angel Michael and Angel Raphael, who team up to make our travels go as smoothly as possible, to help Angel Chamuel bring my bag back into my possession. I thanked them all, feeling deepest gratitude filling my heart.
My cute little pink bag was “somehow miraculously” located in London two days later, after having gone to Delhi, India. It was back home, in my possession, within a week! American Airlines really rose to the occasion and quickly reimbursed me for the things I bought at Liverpool.
If only my little bag could talk—what an adventure it must have had. It arrived home filthy, covered with scrapes and scars. But although it looked terrible, it was still locked. I unlocked it, with my heart in my mouth, only to find everything still neatly in place, untouched! Tears of gratitude sprang to my eyes as I held the little beaded evening bag in my hands, the crystals twinkling in the light.

Sounds like a miracle, doesn’t it? What were the chances I’d ever see that bag again? Normally, they would have been nil. But, when we call upon the Archangels, miracles do happen!
